Hello all! At long last I have returned. I'd like to begin by apologizing for my absence, but from there I'm not sure where to go. An indescribable amount has happened since I last posted something on this blog, and I'm really not sure what to share first. In fact, I do not have much time to write now.
That being said, I will take this opportunity to update you on my current status. I am no longer in Darfur or even Sudan. I left Sudan and IOM on 17 March 2009 and do not plan to return. In fact, if all goes as planned, my next posts should come from Tanzania. In the meantime, I am back in the US rejuvenating after 3 very stressful months, during which I was stuck in Khartoum, unable to return to Nyala or to leave the country. But more about that later...
For now, I would just like to say hi and assure everyone that I have not forgotten about this blog and the many friends around the world who have taken the time to reading my ramblings. In addition, just to catch everyone up on some of the developments in Sudan and Darfur during the last few months, please see the following links:
Dancing Bashir Scoffs at Arrest Warrant (This first story was written by my friend Pete, who I met in Eritrea and have possibly mentioned in earlier posts on this blog.)
Warrant Sparks Anger in Khartoum
